Roger Craig lifts his way to a regional medal

Pictured above Burnet sophomore Roger Craig lifts his way to a regional medal. On his final lift of regional competition Craig bumped up 55 pounds to attempt a whopping 525 pound deadlift, far above his personal record, for a chance at state. It was an incredible moment as he fought for what seemed an eternity but he eventually completed the lift and passed a number of unsuspecting upper classmen. Four others tried to pass him late but failed. The final lifter in the 220 class did so but in the end the lift help advance Craig from an eighth-place starting position to a bronze medalist.
