  • The Hill County 12 and Under Girls softball team is known by both “Strike Force” and “Hill Country Charge”. They played a tournament the entire week in Franklin, Texas beginning July 20 and remained undefeated. Mac Evans received the game ball from the umps. Our beloved Children’s Librarian, Miss Bridget Hartje, is retiring. We are giving her a big sendoff July 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. on the library’s front porch. Refreshments will be served, and a balloon artist will provide balloon animals for all the kids present.
