The Hill Country 100 Club announced that July is First Responders Month.

In recognition, the directors of the club in Burnet, Blanco, Llano and Lampasas counties penned a letter to local law enforcement in support of them, their profession and their families.

The letter reads:

To every first responder in Burnet, Blanco, Llano and Lampasas counties,

We know that times have been tough for all first responders. During the ongoing COVID-19 you have no idea when or if you have been exposed, but you continue to take the calls assigned with as much caution as possible.

Now we have protests and some negative attitudes towards you for no other reason than you wear a uniform. We, the Hill Country 100 Club, want you to know how much we appreciate all that you do every minute of every day. You are all of our Heroes. Always have been, always will be.

Our many thanks to each of you to what you have done, are doing, and will do, in the future for our wonderful communities. Our thanks also to each of your families, we know they have to be very concerned with every call you take. We know that each of you have to take multiple precautions before coming home to your precious family each day.

Each of you and your family members are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Please know that we support you and truly appreciate all you do for your community.
