Rotarians to roll up sleeves for bed build

The Texas Hill Country Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), an organization dedicated to building beds, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Burnet is holding its annual Donald Fawcett Memorial Day of Service the bed build was named for the long time Burnet volunteer and resident. The build will take place Saturday, March 29 at Wallace Riddell Park in Burnet, corner of Texas 29 and South Rhomberg Street starting at 9 a.m.

The Texas Hill Country Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), an organization dedicated to building beds, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Burnet is holding its annual Donald Fawcett Memorial Day of Service the bed build was named for the long time Burnet volunteer and resident.

The build will take place Saturday, March 29 at Wallace Riddell Park in Burnet, corner of Texas 29 and South Rhomberg Street starting at 9 a.m. until noon. All tools, safety equipment and refreshments are supplied.

Through this partnership event local children will now have a bed of their own, marking a significant step toward ending child bedlessness in Burnet, Llano and Blanco County area. Each child receives a brand-new twin bed or bunk bed, complete with a mattress, sheets, blanket, and pillow – essential items many take for granted but that make a profound difference in a child’s life.
