Burnet Consolidated Independent School District is taking steps to ensure student athletes will remain on the field and in competition this fall.

The UIL has stated that for students to have the opportunity to continue to compete in UIL activities this school year, districts must remain diligent in following guidelines.

The regulations require the wearing of face coverings and maintaining proper distance between attendees and participants for the duration of events.

To support social distancing at Bulldog Field, green stripes have been added to alternating rows of bleachers and select seats. The green stripes indicate seating that is not available.

“In addition to supporting social distancing at all district sports venues, we need the help of Bulldog fans by wearing a face covering when you are seated at Bulldog Field or in any of our gyms,” a BCISD statement said. “We want to keep our fans and our athletes safe, and we want to have full seasons of athletic and academic competitions. Join us by wearing a face covering and staying apart when we come together to cheer on the Bulldogs.”
