A new year — 2021 meant the start of a new term for several Burnet County elected officials Friday, Jan. 1, as they were officially sworn in during a morning ceremony at the Burnet County Courthouse.

Those who were administered the oath of office included 33rd District Judge Allan Garrett, District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee, Tax Assessor-Collector Sheri Frazier, County Attorney Eddie Arredondo, Sheriff Calvin Boyd, Precinct 1 Commissioner Jim Luther Jr. and Precinct 3 Commissioner Billy Wall.

The Burnet County Republican Club and Burnet County Republican Women provided refreshments after the ceremony.
