PRC helps BCISD families become engaged in education

When parents of Burnet CISD students need help in becoming more engaged or informed about the education of their children, they can reach out to the BCISD Parent Resource Center (PRC), 202 E. Brier, Burnet.

The PRC, which is run by coordinator Darlene Denton, works to connect parents to resources, educate them about whole-child development and equip parents to engage with the school in a manner which fosters student academic growth.

Due to COVID-19, the PRC is taking appointments to ensure health and safety of staff and parents. Appointments can be made from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 a.m. to noon Thursdays by emailing ddenton@burnetcisd.net to schedule a time to visit the PRC.

Parents can also engage in PRC programs through Google Classroom (classroom.google.com) and using the following codes to join in:

The BCISD Parent Resource Center also maintains an active presence on Facebook, offering parenting and family organization tips as well as current news about PRC service projects and outreach efforts.
