Project 316 fundraiser set for Oct. 3

The City of Burnet will co-sponsor the Project 316 concert and benefit fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Haley Nelson Park in Burnet.

This concert and silent auction will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will raise money for scholarships as well as for fallen officers in the memory of the late Jose Meza, a Burnet Police Department K-9 handler who died in the line of duty in December 2019. The event’s name, Project 316, comes from Meza’s badge number.

There will be food cooked by the Texas Municipal Police Association and coolers are welcome at $5 per cooler.

Music will be provided from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. by Eddie Shell & The Not Guilties; from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by Les Hartman; and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. by Dysfunction Junction.
