Doris M. O’Rear

Doris M. O’Rear passed away November 2, 2020 at her home outside Burnet at Cassie Subdivision on Lake Buchanan. She was 83. Doris was born May 19, 1937, in Taylor to Richard Belz and Louise Vanek Belz.

Doris was a resident of Burnet for over 25 years. She was a homemaker and active member of the First Lutheran Church in Burnet. Doris enjoyed painting, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family. She most enjoyed the early morning sunrise each day at Lake Buchanan. She will be remembered as a most caring and loving person.

Doris is survived by her husband Carroll; daughters Debra Becker of Boerne and Karen Corbett of The Woodlands; grandson Brent Green and wife Stephanie; granddaughter Ashley Corbett Bragg Corbett; grandson Wade Becker and husband Art Campsey.

Also surviving are five great grandchildren, and a brother, Jimmy Belz. Doris is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Richard Belz and Caldwell Belz.

A Memorial Service in celebration of the life of Doris will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church of Burnet.
