J.C. Haley Jr., 70, passed away at home after his long battle with cancer with his family by his side. J.C. was a great husband, brother, dad, paw paw, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He could always put a smile on your face with his wit. He was truly loved by all.

J.C. worked all his life as a laborer, truck driver, and furniture mover and most recently as supervisor of the water department for the city of Marble Falls.

He always worked hard to provide for his family. He was a very kind man but he could be stubborn at times. He was always here for his kids in good times and in bad. He loved his kids, wife, and granddaughter unconditionally. His hands were stern when needed but gentle always.

J.C. was born in Galveston to Auddie Penny Haley. J.C. resided in Marble Falls, Burnet, Kansas and Granite Shoals.

J.C. is survived by his wife Carolyn Haley, sons James Haley (Brandi) of Burnet, David Haley (Jenn) of Jarrell, his daughter Barbara Haley of Granite Shoals, granddaughter Mikayla “Pumpkin” Haley of Granite Shoals, sister Dorothy Cleere of Midland; nephews Darrell, Doug and Greg Cleere and cousins Jenny, Heather, and Victor; brotherin-law Randy Smith (Sharon), Billie Smith (Linda), Darrell Smith and Donald Smith all of Marble Falls. Numerous other relatives and close friends.

J.C. is preceded in death by his grandparents Wash and Mae Penny, his mom Auddie Penny Ritchie, his aunt and second mom Fannie Higgins, and many other relatives.

No public service is planned at this time but a private family gathering in memory of J.C. will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Granite Shoals Volunteer Fire Department.

Condolences to the family may be made to clementswilcoxburnet.com.

Arrangements and cremation entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
