Macaria Burkhalter, 92, was born on February 28, 1928 in Bertram, Texas. She passed on October 5, 2020 at the Oaks Nursing Center in Burnet. Macaria resided for most of her life in Throckmorton, Texas.
She is predeceased by her husband, JR Burkhalter of Throckmorton. Macaria had ten children and was predeceased by Santos, Domingo, Stephen, David, Alex, and Casey and granddaughter Patty Escamilla. She is survived by four daughters: Martha Palmer, Connie Escamilla, Hope Fowlds, and Jane Hartleb.
Macaria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (17 grandchildren), and great grandmother (16 great grandchildren). She also enjoyed her daily spiritual walk with Jesus. Now she can walk with the Lord in heaven.
Her family would also like to offer a special thanks to the administration and staff of the Oaks Nursing Center. Heartfelt thanks to the very professional and compassionate care given to all the residents.
The Rosary/Vigil Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
