BHS schedules annual Christmas tree lighting

Burnet High School’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and the Culinary Arts students invite the community to join them at their fourth annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the high school Thursday, Dec. 3.

The event will feature hot chocolate, Christmas music and carolsand the student organizations official ornament hanging before Principal Casey Burkhart lights the tree.

FCCLA and the Culinary Arts students have hosted this event for the last four years with the help of the BHS Band, Highlandettes, the Ag students, Art students, and the Choir students, as a fun way to enjoy celebrating the students, district, and BHS campus.

Guests are encouraged to place an ornament on the BHS Christmas Tree that will be on display in the courtyard at the high school to share in the Spirit, Pride and Honor of the evening.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Burnet High School courtyard, 1000 The Green Mile, Burnet.
