Michael Devon Crites, born February 5th 1974, of Fort Worth, Texas, has left our earthly plane of existence on March 6, 2026, in Burnet County, Texas, at just 52 years old. Michael was many things to many people, but never Mike. Know that if you called him that, he only tolerated it, so he must have loved you. Michael was an artist. He was a connoisseur of music. He was a wanderer; A rolling stone. He was a father and a friend. He lived to create, to make things with his hands. He was a painter, an illustrator, a sculptor, a composer of all things both beautiful and wicked. Michael found so much pride in crafting giant works of metal art through his time working at Nailhead Spur Co. Through his art, Michael will live forever. Michael is survived by his daughters Edie Lea and Sadie Jane Crites, Niece Maddy Ara Cooper, and lifelong friend, Donna Jo. Michael was preceded in death by his niece Chloe Elizabeth Lindsey, who he now walks hand in hand with through the vast gardens of the divine. Michael loved his girls with everything he was. “The king is gone but he’s not forgotten.”
