Rufus Daviil White

He was bom April 18,1937. in San Angelo. Texas, to Rufus Abner White and Della Camilla Thurston. He proudly served in the United States Navy and later worked as an engineer for the phone company.
Rufus was known for his quick wit, strong character, and deep faith. He enjoyed motorcycles, bowling, backgammon. cards, sudoku, and puzzles, and had a lifelong love of working with numbers. He was a devoted follower of Jesus and spent many years studying God's Word. He was a longtime member of Christian Worship Center in Kingsland, where he served as bookkeeper, and later attended Life Church in Leona.
He is survived by his children: Peggy Hauiam and husband Mohamed; Cathy Gardner and husband Chris; Randa Crain and husband David; and Michael White and wife Lorraine: his grandchildren Eric Gardner and wife Mackenzie, Evan Gardner and wife Lenette. Husain Hamam and wife Dana. Jamal Hamam and wife Lena. Jason White, Kallie Nichols and husband Colby, Melody Cobb and husband Travis, Michael White and wife Heather, Rhea Holik and husband Jason, Zachary Crain, and Ziad Hamam and wife Lujain; and 23 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Neola, brother Pat and his sisters Barbara. Polly, and Lou.
Visitation will be held on April 25. 2026. from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow. Services are under the direction of Harrell Funeral Home. 145 Texas Avenue. Kingsland. Texas.
