Roger Allen Witteveen, 86, of Burnet, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 2, 1939 to Henry and Henrietta Witteveen, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Jean O. Witteveen. He is survived by his siblings - sister Kathleen Kirt, brother Paul Witteveen, sister Arlene Rockwell, brother Bruce Witteveen, children - daughter Cindy Burgess (Erwin), daughter Robin Price (Kelly), son Tim Witteveen (Stacy), grandchildren - Desiree, Lauren, Courtney Angel (Vincent), Gregory, Ashton, Anna, Iain, Sophia, Landan, Jared, and great grandchildren - William, Theodore and Beatrice.

Roger was serving in the United States Navy when he met his wife, Jean. They were married in June 1962 then eventually moved and resided most of their lives in San Antonio, Texas where he worked for Xerox for over 30 years.

Roger had a passion for God and was devoted to sharing the gospel. He spent his life ministering to people through weekly home bible studies, mentorship, counsel, love, and support to anyone who asked. He was also a member of the Elder Board at their church for many years. After his retirement he worked for the SOWERS mission team and spent time traveling to different projects and visiting their children and grand children.

The past few years he has been surrounded by his family, his loving neighbors and staff at Wildflower Meadows, and the men’s bible study group at Pack Saddle Fellowship, where he attended weekly bible study.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am, at Pack Saddle Fellowship, 508 Ranch Road 2900, Kingsland, TX 78639. Reception immediately following.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ark of Highland Lakes or to Samaritan’s Purse.
