Donna S. Teague

Donna S. Teague

October 5, 1962 -August 26, 2025

Donna S. Teague-Conn passed away at her home on August 26th, after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer. She had been under hospice care since early this year and during that time she was able to be at home surrounded by family, all her pets, and welcoming visits from her many friends.

Donna was born October 5, 1962 in Burnet, TX to Duane and Sue Teague. The younger of two daughters, she joined her sister Sherry, to complete their family. After graduating from Burnet High School, she attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1985. Donna met many lifelong friends while at A&M and then later through her work career. She worked retail upon graduation, first at Joske’s in San Antonio, TX and then joined Shepler’s Western Wear which led her to positions in Mesquite, TX, then Las Vegas and finally Scottsdale AZ where she was store manager for many years. Wanting to get away from retail, Donna then moved into outside sales for another company staying in Scottsdale until she decided it was time to get back to Texas.

Once back in Texas, Donna helped with managing family rental properties. She took up “glamping” and purchased a small camper which she took to many sites and thoroughly enjoyed this for a few years. Donna also enjoyed getting back to Aggie sports, attending many tailgates and football games along with often playing her favorite domino game ‘42’ at which she was very good. Then in 2015, she reconnected with Richard Conn whom she married in October 2016. She and Richard lived their married life in Van TX and enjoyed breeding dogs and raising cattle along with many other animals.

Donna is preceded in death by her father, Duane Teague. She is survived by her mother, Sue Teague and her husband, Richard Conn. She is also survived by her sister Sherry (Ben) Shipley, nieces Mandy (Jeff) Riordan and Jill (Adam) Rodgers and nephew, Rob (Becca) Shipley along with great-nieces and nephews, one of whom, Kendal Riordan, just started at Texas A&M this year as a freshman. Although there will be no official celebration of life or memorial service, Donna will certainly be greatly missed by her family and the many friends made through the years…including her Aggie friends, those she met through glamping and work colleagues.
