Frank Oscar Thurman, Jr., of Burnet, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 12:25 PM, Thursday, October 9, 2025, with family by his side. He was a resident of The Oaks Nursing Center at the time of his passing. Frank was born January 2,1937, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He grew up in Longview, Texas, graduated from Judson High School and obtained degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Geology from Texas Tech in Lubbock. He had a long career in Texas and Oklahoma working in the oil industry.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Juanita Thurman and his first wife, Maxine Cogburn Thurman of Odessa, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Delta Thurman, and her sons, Anthony (Melissa) Adamcik and Ladd (Jacqui) Adamcik, his sons, Frank O. Thurman III (Linda) and Philip Thurman (Shannon), grandchildren, Kyleigh and Spencer Thurman, Brothers, Gary (Myra Lynn) Thurman and Loy Thurman, sister Clara Jean Thurman (Don) Calhoun, along with nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff and everyone at The Oaks for the exceptional care they gave Frank while he was there.

A Celebration of Life will be held in a few weeks.
