David Dean Huggins passed from this world and into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 24, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born November 24, 1948 in Burnet, Texas to Oran and Mattie Huggins.

David was a lifelong bachelor, and a free-spirit. His stereotypical “Cool Uncle” nature earned him the simple alias of “Uncle” amongst all family members and friends alike.

David had a passion for guns and weaponry. He was an ardent TV and Movie buff. He enjoyed good food, garage sales, shooting pool and going on long walks.

He was a cerebral and quirky man who was always up for hanging out and conversing about fond memories and nostalgia, interesting trivia and fun facts, as well as anything commonplace or out of the ordinary.

He was proceeded in death by his mother: Mattie Stowe, and his siblings: Marie Parker, Eddie Witcher and Vickie Bible.

He is survived by his sister: Orene Groessel of Midland, and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside Post Mountain Cemetery for David will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
