Laura was bom on May 12. 1947. in Comanche. Texas to her parents Lloyd and Maiy Thorp. Growing up. Lama lived and went to school in Lampasas. Texas.

Laura was a wonderful housewife and had many different jobs along the way. One of her passions was cleaning houses. She was very particular and enjoyed visiting with the families.

In 1996. is when Laura became a “Granny” to her grandson. Dakota Blake Smith. There was nothing she would not do with or for him.

Lama loved fishing, working outside and taking care of her husband. L.W. Carroll, the love of her life for 56 years.

Laura is survived by her husband. L.W. Carroll, daughter Lisa Reyes (Ted), grandson Dakota Smith (Hope), step granddaughters Samantha and Sidney Reyes. She is also survived by her sisters. Jan Nickson (Mike). Clara Lundy, her brother Jay Thorp (Glinda) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home on Friday January 9, 2026. from 5-7pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday January 10. 2026. at 10:00am at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Lakeland Hills Cemeteiy.
