It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Andrew Smith “Chuck” announce his sudden passing on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the age of 62.

Chuck peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife, daughter, sister and brother in-law by his bedside. He is no longer suffering the pain and is now dancing in heaven.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Donna Smith “Lucy,” daughter Heidi R. Smith of Aurora, Colorado, grandson Damien, granddaughters Abilene and Madison of Aurora, Colorado, step-daughter Amanda Dortch (Michael) of Austin, Texas, grandsons Dylan and Zane and granddaughter Allie, and mother Cora Sue McDonel of Bryan, Texas.

Chuck also is survived by his sisters, Sandy Morgan (Alan) of College Station, Texas, Lisa Faithauer (Charles) of Brenham, Texas, and Gail Flores (Paul) of Bryan, Texas, plus many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, plus many many friends that he loved.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles David Smith, and brother James Smith.

Chuck was a kind loving husband to his wife of 22 years. He enjoyed life, family and many friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others with a caring heart and always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.

Chuck was a true Texas A&M Aggies football fan and an avid listener of all kinds of music. He loved his previous hometown of Bryan/College Station.

There are many things in Chuck’s life that he was proud of. A very important one was when he was asked to volunteer for a family member to build a house for Habitat for Humanity. He was very excited and happy. Although he struggled with hip pain he pushed through and was excited and so happy on the day of the dedication of Habitat for Humanity home.

He will be missed by so

many family and friends.

A memorial will be held later in March TBD. Please come out and visit with family and friends and share your memories and stories of our beloved Chuck.

Special “thank you” to Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, Texas, for the loving and caring staff (ICU & Hospice Care).

“I’ll hold you in my heart until I can hold you in heaven” I love you ... Lucy.
