David B. Kleen Jr., former Marine and retired US Army passed away peacefully at his home with his family and loyal dog at his side on December 30, 2020.
Dave was born November 5, 1936 in Burnet, Texas, to David and Mattie Kleen. He grew up in George West, Texas, where he worked at the local movie theater. After graduating from high school, he joined the USMC and that is where he met the love of his life Patricia Hoff. Together they had two daughters that meant the world to him. After the marines, he joined the Army, moved to Austin, Texas, and retired in 1997. After retiring, he loved to travel with his wife, going to the ranch to “hunt” with his friend’s.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Mattie, his two sisters Doris and Willie Mae, niece Cheryl Kay, great grandson Al Hamilton, son-in-law Stephen Treadwell and the love of his life wife Patricia of 59 years.
He is survived by daughter Latricia-Kleen-Hamilton, son in law Michael Hamilton, daughter Davina A. Treadwell, grandchildren Heather, Lauren, Andrew, Aleigna, Emily and Bran, great grandchildren Ana, Zachary, Ayson, Ella, Alan, Jonathan, Tyler, Keona, sister Mattie Lou Lary and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held January 17 at 1 p.m. at Forest Oaks in Oak Hill.
