Iva Dell (Shell) Becker, age 88, of Ham Lake, Minnesota, passed away December 18, 2020. Preceded in death by son-in-law Duane (Duke) Lachinski, parents Joe and Avis Shell, sister JoNell Stockman, brother Millard Shell, brothers-in-law Richard Becker, James Becker, sisters-in-law Pat Abrams, Mary McLean and Terry Becker.

Iva was born September 21, 1932, and raised in Lampasas, Texas. She moved to Minnesota in 1955 after she met and married her husband, Bill who was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas.

Iva had a long and wonderful career in retail at Powers, Herberger’s, and Macy’s (fueling her love of shopping), but her favorite role was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved animals, especially her many cats and dogs; and loved to play the harmonica. She was a great cook and seamstress throughout her life.

Iva is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bill; daughter, Debra Becker; granddaughters Megan and Rachel Lachinski; special friend/niece Cindy Hrbacek; brother Paul (Peggy) Shell, brother-in-law Harold Becker; sisters-in-law Muriel Sisterman and Phyllis Becker and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Mounds View, Minnesota. Internment at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
