On December 22, 2020 our beloved wife, mother, and Granna was called Home to be with the Lord forever! She will always be remembered for her Love of Christ and her love for her family, friends and community.

Born September 18, 1950 in Burnet, TX to J.T. and Mildred Clark at the Allen Clinic, she was welcomed home by her parents and older brother Kenneth Clark. Jan was raised as a young lady on Pierce Street in Burnet. Her father worked as a grocer and her mother kept children in their home and was a 4H leader. She was prepared for raising boys on Pierce St as at one time, there were 17 or so boys and just Jan and a couple of other girls.

Jan attended Burnet Schools her entire life and enjoyed participating in 4H, rodeo, athletics, and keeping the Bulldog mascot with Vicki (Carrigan) Cox! BHS is where she met the love of her life, Kelvin. These two were a match made in heaven and were married June 20, 1969.

Kelvin and Jan moved to Abilene shortly after as Kelvin was playing football at Abilene Christian University. Jan began working on campus as a secretary. They enjoyed ACU and met many lifelong friends. Their biggest blessing was the birth of their first child, David Chad Keele, September 30, 1970. At the conclusion of their days in Abilene they moved to Copperas Cove, TX, where Kelvin started his teaching career. The family grew some more in Copperas Cove with the addition of their second son, Jonathan Todd Keele, January 4, 1974.

In June of 1978, Kelvin and Jan moved back to Burnet and Kelvin began to work with his brothers in the family construction business. Jan worked at Allen Clinic for a short time and soon realized she was meant to be a mother. She stayed at home until Todd was in school and went to work as a PE Aide and then Campus Secretary for Burnet CISD. She would remain with the district until her retirement in June of 2000.

Her retirement would allow her to focus on two of her favorite things, grandkids and travel. Her four grandkids were her biggest blessing. She loved to spoil them and was their biggest fan, no matter the event or contest. Her travels were never frequent enough but she always loved to go! She and Kelvin had traveled to all 50 states and had already started on round two. Jan also enjoyed serving in the community and especially in service to her church. She was known to all the little ones as GrannaJan or Miss Jan and she loved to teach Sunday school to any age, but especially the young ones.

Jan is survived by her husband of 51 years Kelvin L. Keele of Burnet, TX. Her son, Chad Keele and wife Wendy and their two children Kyler(20) and Kelsey(17), all of Burnet, TX. Her son, Todd Keele and wife Jami and their two children, Brooks(20) and Paige(17), all of Sterling City, TX. Her older brother Kenneth and wife Sandy of Leander, TX. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Mildred Clark, of Burnet, TX.
