May 9, 1940 — October 18, 2020
Jeanne Louise (Nobles) Field, was born May 9, 1940, in the crystalline air and vibrant sun of Clovis, New Mexico.
Jeanne passed and joined her heavenly father on October 18, 2020. She was the daughter of Tony and Louise (Watson) Nobles of Clovis, New Mexico.
A beloved mother, she is survived by her three children: daughters, Tracy Connell and husband Terry of Maple Valley, Washington, and Terri Kaess and husband Mark of Snoqualmie, Washington; and her son, Ted Lewis and wife Sarah of Boerne, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Stone and his wife Erin, Piper Connell, Graysen, Addison and Tryon Kaess, Brock and Ranger Lewis; her sister, Janet Hendrix; and niece, Cheri and husband David Winne and their children, Michael, Natalie and Dallas.
After graduating from Clovis High School in 1958, Jeanne and her sister, Janet, accomplished Baton Twirlers, traveled to Chicago to perform in the Norman Crider Trio. She then attended Hardin Simmons University. Jeanne married Larry Lewis and they moved to Europe, traveling extensively as a military family.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English at Christopher Newport University. Throughout the arc of her life, she spent time serving the Lord and others.
Areas of service include volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels, playing the piano for her church, and countless tender mercies offered to those in need.
She worked as the Director for a Senior Center, was a Real Estate Agent, English Teacher, and Model. Jeanne also studied art and was a gifted and accomplished Watercolorist. Her life’s work was reflective of her childhood home, New Mexico — “The Land of Enchantment.” Her artwork also revealed her gentle nature and love for God’s creation and was displayed and sold in various art galleries. Jeanne was an art teacher for ten years and in 2010 she retired from Burnet High School, Burnet, Texas.
Jeanne lived a life of faith, forgiveness, and hope. Throughout her life, she was compelled to care for both people and “critters” in need. She loved her children and family deeply-they were her greatest joy. She passed peacefully with her children by her side.
Jeanne was laid to rest on October 22, 2020 in Boerne, Texas, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by her children and close family members. A celebration of life will be held on December 27, 2020 with family and friends in Boerne, Texas. To leave condolences and to view a video of Jeanne’s life, visit ebensberger-fisher.com.
