On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Peggy N. Thom, devoted wife and mother, went back to her lord at the age of 80.

Peggy was born on September 6, 1940, to Willie and Blanche Horn in Boyd, Texas.

She married Roger C. Thom on June 19, 1965 and so began their beautiful and deeply devoted love affair and marriage of 55 years. They raised a son, Thomas, and two daughters, Tammy and Bridgett.

Peggy was a compassionate and fair-minded proud conservative Texan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was a gifted seamstress. Her work with The Linus Project, an organization that makes and gifts quilts to children in need, brought her significant joy. She was a grateful woman who enjoyed other simple pleasures like watching the steam move across the lake on cold mornings and watching her grandchildren grow and excel in their chosen sports.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Blanche and Willie Horn, brothers, Olan, Burl and Earl Horn, and sisters, Sue Farmer and Billie Logan.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Thom, her sister, Patricia Taylor, her son and his wife, Tom and Sheri Thom, her daughters, Tammy Lavin and Bridgett Thom, her grandchildren, Emily Evans, Taylor Wadsworth, Mason Thom, Ethan Thom, and Silas Reynolds, and her greatgrandchildren, April North, Harleigh Evans, Asher Thom, and Whitney Wadsworth.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23 at the Clements Wilcox Funeral home in Burnet, Texas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
