The soccer teams started district play last week and Burnet’s varsity girls have a 2-0 record after two exciting wins. On Tuesday the Lady Dawgs were tied 2-2 with Little River Academy after regulation of the district opener. Burnet’s goals were netted by Caroline Valencia and Phebe Musasa both off assists by Lainey Rye.

After double overtime periods the two teams were still tied so the game went to a penalty shootout. Caty Crow, Valencia, and Kaycie Banton all three made their kicks. On the flip side Burnet goalie Juliet Morales had three amazing saves giving Burnet a hard-fought win in their district opener.
