Golfers tee-off at Lighthouse

The Bulldog golf team managed to get in a round of play before cancelations hit Burnet sports last week. On Monday, the boys’ team traveled to Kingsland to play in the Llano Invitational on the Lighthouse course. The event was Burnet’s first outing of the spring season.

The Bulldogs finished eighth out of 12 teams with a combined 376.

Jaxson Denton led the way for Burnet with a round of 88. Neil Denton was next on the board for the Bulldogs with a 95. The Denton boys were followed by John Carter Wyer who shot a 96, Ayden Vaughn who scored a 97, and Brody Ellett-Lane with a round of 98.

The next tournament for the boys will be on Monday, Feb. 22 at the Star Ranch in Hutto.
