Muscle Dawgs open new powerlifting season

Burnet officially kickedoff their 2021 powerlifting season with their first competition of the year in Lampasas on Thursday night. Team green had 11 male and nine female lifters representing Burnet. The boys team placed fourth overall while the girls brought home a silver team finish.

“We had multiple athletes place in the top five of their weight class earning team points and medals,” said head powerlifting coach Tyler McIntosh. “Coach Burns and I are super proud of how our athletes conducted themselves and how they competed in their first meet of the year. We look forward to what the rest of the season has to offer.”
