Burnet County Sheriff's authorities assisted a Williamson County SWAT team, the Department of Public Safety and several other agencies in capturing a 32-year-old suspect wanted in a Williamson County homicide investigation, officials said.

The incident unfolded around 10:20 p.m. Feb. 1, when Williamson County officials requested BCSO assistance with a suspect in the 7400 block of east CR 243.

“Williamson County had tracked the vehicle to that location and requested our assistance,” Burnet County Sheriff's Capt. Chris Jett said.

“It was in the middle of the night. We did shutdown 243 for a little while,” he said. “We were told he was a suspect in a homicide involving a firearm.

“We don't know why he was in Burnet County,” Jett added.
