City of Burnet crews, seen here on Wednesday, Nov. 13, have been hard at work transforming downtown Burnet into a winter wonderland. The work will be ready in time for Burnets Christmas on the Square. The citys largest holiday event of the season is scheduled to launch on Saturday, Dec. 14 and will feature a parade, lighting of the Burnet County Courthouse and a bicycle giveaway.

It's snow fun! Christmas on Square returns

Christmas on the Square is returning to downtown Burnet for another day of fun on Saturday, Dec. 8!

While arts and crafts vendors, musicians, and other entertainers are preparing to set up on the Burnet Courthouse Square and bring the Christmas cheer to visitors, Burnet County and City of Burnet representatives are getting ready to bring back a special aspect of the festival: snow!

That's right … there is, yet again, a 100-percent chance of snow in Burnet in just a few short weeks! The “Snow on the Square” addition to the Christmas on the Square includes a towering snow slide and two play-areas at the corner of Jackson and Pierce Streets, where kids are able to participate in snowball fights, build snowmen, and make snow angels as if they were not in warm and sunny Central Texas!
