The Hoover Valley Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry & Silent Auction is 1-8 p.m. June 4 in Burnet at 303 County Road 118B. The event will raise funds for daily operations. Firefighters will cook fried catfish, french fries, hushpuppies and all the fixings. Cost is donation by plate. Fire truck tours offered for children and fire truck demonstrations.
