Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) of the Highland Lakes Area recently announced the date and details for their annual Boots and BBQ fundraiser in a press release.

This event is the largest fundraising source for CASA for the Highland Lakes Area and allows the group to “provide a voice to the most vulnerable children in our community.”

The event will take place at Horseshoe Bay Resort on Saturday, Feb. 5.

CASA for the Highland Lakes advocates for the community’s children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect. Each year, volunteers, advocates and staff provide voices to over 400 children in the surrounding area that pass through the family court system because they are unable to live safely at home.

Sponsors of Boots & BBQ “become a powerful voice in the life of an abused or neglected child who needs a CASA advocate by their side.” Corporate, foundation and individual funding are used to serve and protect children in crisis.

Highland Lakes’ CASA volunteers are making a difference in children’s lives every day. For available sponsorship, item donation and underwriting opportunities, call (325) 388-3440 or email brittany@highlandlakescasa.com.

“We hope you will join us for a fantastic evening featuring Texas barbecue, exciting live music, silent and live auctions and so much more,” the release stated. “Your generous support will enable CASA to continue to serve these defenseless children; and we certainly can’t do it without you.”
