The Burnet County Republican Club and Burnet County Republican Women announced their 9th biennial Chili Cook-Off and scholarship auction is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Candidates running for

Candidates running for office in Burnet County for local and state office will be on hand to display their chili cuisine and meet their constituents.

A live and silent auction is scheduled to raise funds for annual scholarships benefitting graduating seniors from Burnet, Marble Falls and Faith Academy. Scholarships may be used for either a college or technical school. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, complete the school’s scholarship application, and submit an essay answering a question concerning the Republican Party and its basic platform as it relates to the views of the majority of Americans.

Guest speaker will be Robin Armstrong, Texas RNC Committeeman, and music will be provided by Triple Boogey. Tickets are $20 for adults

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids and may be purchased on Eventbrite. Cash or check will also be accepted at the door. Donations are always welcome to supplement the funds raised.

The event is sponsored by Chris Ward at the Freedom Flyer hangar in Burnet.
