Last Week Monica and I made a last-minute decision to get out of town for a few days. We loaded up essentials for a three-night stay and literally drove until the pavement ran out at South Padre Island.
If you take Park Road 100 south, out of town five miles, you will find the end of the pavement as it buries beneath the sand dunes, and all together disappears.
