Bits of Bertram

Bits of Bertram would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. 2024 will most likely bring more changes to Bertram with new businesses, new housing, new opportunities for coming together as a community.

The city of Bertram, the Bertram EDC, and the Bertram Chamber will continue their efforts to revitalize the downtown area, coveting the traditions while combining those with the new that is sure to come.

All three of Bertram’s local festivals are scheduled again, and planning is already underway. The Friends of the Bertram library will continue to schedule events to bring the community together and build awareness about the library and its programs for the community.

The local shops will continue their Sip & Stroll events, offering the chance to not only shop locally, but to win some prizes along the way.

Book clubs will meet, Girl Scout troops will assemble, and sports will be played at the local sports complex.

Live entertainment will be offered at The Globe Theatre and the Hometown Watering Hole. Delicious meals will be served at our local restaurants and coffee will be consumed at our local coffee shops.

You might see a couple of ladies running around making videos. That could be Teresa Revels and Betty Predmore, also known as Bertram Buzz.

They are devoting time to bringing awareness to the businesses, events, and growth of Bertram by creating on social media.

Most assuredly, new faces will be mixed among the familiar as Bertram continues to grow. The small-town atmosphere is a huge draw for those looking for a quieter lifestyle.

As always, Bits of Bertram will be sharing about the goings on about town, the businesses and people that are impacting the city, and the organizations that make a difference.

If you have news that you would like to be considered, please feel free to email betty.predmore@gmail.com. Together will keep Bertram in the news in 2024.
