A new American Legion Post is forming in Burnet and veterans have the rare opportunity to become founding members.
The Patrick M. Goble Post 974 honors a Burnet Marine Corps Veteran killed in action in Vietnam on May 7, 1968. The post will offer veterans' benefit claims assistance in the near future.
Meetings are held every third Tuesday at 6:30 pm at 1402 Buchanan Dr. in Burnet
