Bluebonnet Festival

The 41st Annual Burnet Bluebonnet Festival, April 12-14 in downtown Burnet, offers live music, a pet parade, a grand parade, and the Mighty Thomas Carnival. Enjoy 300 arts & crafts vendors, a car show, and Kids K/2K/ 5K/ 10K race. This year's Saturday night country music concert headliner is Kolby Cooper. Airshow Time

The Highland Lakes Squadron/CAF will kick off the 32nd Bluebonnet Airshow on March 16, featuring iconic WWII bombers, fighters and transports, formation flyers, and more. Garden Show

The 24th annual Hill Country Garden Show, sponsored by the Highland Lakes Master Gardeners, will be held at the Burnet Country AgriLife Center on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Rompin' Rodeo

Get ready for the annual Burnet County Rodeo May 13-14, beginning at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds 1301 Houston Clinton Drive in Burnet. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Buy tickets in advance or at the gate. Admission is $20 for ages ten and older, $10 for ages 6-9, and free for children 5 and under. The event is sanctioned by the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association. Enjoy a live concert with the price of admission.

Crafty Creations

Burnet County Area Fair returns on June 5 at the AgriLife Auditorium. The fair is open to the public on June 7-8, with presentations, an ice cream crank-off, and cooking demonstrations. The fair also features exhibits, a country store, a silent auction, and craft and food vendors.

Arts and Craft Beer

The Bertram Art, Herb and Wine Festival will attract thousands to the small community on a spring weekend. Enjoy a family-friendly weekend on the streets of downtown Bertram, Texas, Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy Local Artisan Vendors, wine from Texas Wineries, and taste Texas Craft Beer. Enjoy Food Truck Vendors featuring snacks, meals, and dessert items, Live Music, Free Mini-Seminars, and a 5K Wine Thyme Run. Bring your chairs and enjoy the live music.

Prison Chapel Fundraiser

Presented by Joseph's Hammer, Jake Hooker and the Outsiders will “Raise the Roof” Saturday, June 22, at the Burnet Community Center (402 E. Jackson), to benefit the chapel at the Halbert Women's Prison with a catered dinner at 6 p.m., followed by dancing and an auction. General admission is $100 per person, dinner included. Sponsorships are available. There is also a raffle for one booking with Hooker, a $2,000 value. The raffle tickets are $25 each and you need not be present to win. HC 100 Club Banquet

The Hill Country 100 Club 20th Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the YMCA of Highland Lakes Galloway-Hammond, 1601 S. Walter St., in Burnet. This year’s banquet will honor those first responders who have passed away. We are looking for sponsors to help financially underwrite the banquet costs.
