Participants begin submissions in pumpkin art contest

One of several pumpkins already submitted by an anonymous youth participating in the Herman Brown Free Library fifth annual “It’s the Great Pumpkin” decoration contest sponsored by Youth Librarian Rebecca Noah.

All ages may join the contest within different categories.

Contestants may bring their decorated pumpkins to the library through Friday, Oct. 21. During the following week, library patrons can vote for their favorite pumpkins.

Winning entries will be announced Oct. 31. The library is in Burnet at 100 E. Washington St. near the Courthouse. Visit www.hermanbrownlibrary. org or call 512-715-5228 for more information.
