Purple Meadows

Does anyone have a purple meadow? The grasses are taking on fall colors now. Some of them actually seem to be purple. On a patch of recently mowed grass the seed heads are trying to grow a bit before the season is over. They look like a purple meadow.

The Lights are Installed on Joppa Bridge

Saturday morning’s rain caused a delay in placing the lights on the bridge. However, several people enjoyed breakfast at the Joppa Fellowship Building and afterward were able to place a few lights on the bridge during a break in the rain.

Delbert Cain said they were able to finish putting up the lights on Sunday afternoon. Now the historic Joppa Bridge is beautiful for another Christmas season.

The bridge is located at CR 200 and CR 210 in Joppa. A contact number for information is 512-489-2397.
