It’s Fall Colors Time

Along roadsides and in scattered fields vegetation is changing colors here in Central Texas. There are a myriad of shades of bronze, beige, purple, brown, yellow and even green to be found in the many species of native grasses.

Hardwood trees and various shrubs have all changed their leaves to gold.

And most outstanding of all is the sumac. It’s flame colored leaves almost seem to glow. All of these colors against a backdrop of native cedar and our live oaks make for some beautiful fall days.
