Prosecutors with the 33rd/424th Judicial District presented a case to the Burnet Grand Jury, accusing a man of molesting victims and collecting explicit images of underage children, according to indictment documents.

Johnathan Lamb, 33, of Florence faces 36 counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child (under age 14).

He was already booked into the Burnet County Jail on April 9 by the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office on warrants including an indecency with a child —contact charge, followed by being presented with the indictments on July 12.

Prosecutors confirmed that the indecency charge is not listed in the indictments, but instead an additional continuous sexual abuse charge was added.

Officials said that an outcry prompted the investigation which unfolded to involve multiple accusers and the collection of evidence, including a number of explicit images and video.

The combined sexual abuse incidents and child pornography are alleged to have occurred from January 2013 to June of 2019.

Prosecutors alleged the incidents occurred in several counties, including Burnet County.

Each count of continuous sexual abuse is a first degree felony, punishable by five to 99 years or life in prison with a conviction.

The child pornography possession charges are each third degree felonies, punishable by two to 10 years in prison.

All counts are stackable, officials confirmed.

As of July 20, Lamb remained in custody on surety bonds totaling $235,000, according to jail records.

He is scheduled to be arraigned the charges on Aug. 27.
