The unadjusted unemployment rate of the ninecounty Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area of Central Texas rose to 4.9 percent in June 2021, up from 4.3 percent in May 2021, but still a far cry from the 8.1 percent unemployment reported in May 2020, with 579 more people employed in the region than last month.
