A burglary suspect remains at-large after stealing thousands of dollars in cash at a Kingsland golf course, according to the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office report.

The theft, which occurred just after midnight on Monday, Oct. 5, was reported at the Legends Golf Course Pro Shop, 600 Legends Clubhouse Drive.

The alleged thief entered the building through an unsecuredwindow, Burnet County Sheriff’s Capt. Tom Dillard said.

The burglar rifled through various spots throughout the venue and took approximately $6,000 in the form of checks and cash, the report stated.

“They tallied up the losses. They provided us with video,” Dillard said. “We’re pretty well down to the video and tips from the public.”

The surveillance video from inside the pro shop showed what appeared to be a white male wearing a face covering, khaki pants, a gray shirt and a dark sling bag.

“It’s definitely better than average on video quality. He took pains to conceal his identity, and that makes it difficult,” he said. “He was gloved up.”

Investigators shared the images with the public to solicit possible tips.

“Sometimes might recognize an article of clothing or something about the suspect,” he said.

“Of course, we’ll take Crime Stoppers tips,” Dillard added.
