With the completion of the 2022 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, the community should be incredibly proud of the 4-H and FFA members of Burnet County.
Their recent accomplishments brought home a grand total of $34,000 worth of scholarships.
San Antonio has developed a strategic scholarship program for the youth of Texas.
When 4-H and FFA members compete and win their livestock breed, category, division, contest or event, they are awarded a San Antonio scholarship.
It is an honor to be awarded this scholarship because it focuses on achievements of the youth related to their project and the competition is steep as they compete against other 4-H and FFA members from across the state.

Kambell Stewart and Bryce Atkinson were awarded the overall Grand Champion award with their Kuhl Haus Cooler and Processing Station, and each received a $7,000 scholarship. Kambell and Bryce attend Marble Falls High School and are part of the Marble Falls FFA Chapter, and Burnet County 4-H Program.
The 4-H and FFA programs strive to develop life and leadership skills in youth using project-based experiences for the successful development of productive citizens. According to 4-H and FFA statistics, members of these programs are more likely to give back to their community, engage in civic organizations, typically have other school and extra-curricular related successes and typically have healthier habits than other youth their age.
