Burnet’s powerlifters participated in their second meet of the season last Thursday with a quick road trip to Lampasas. It was another great showing by the Muscle Dawgs who earned four individual first places finishes, an overall top lifter award and 18 lifters set new personal best totals.

First place finishes were earned by Jose Rodriguez with a 1,110 pound total, Brady Rygaard with a 1,205 total, Maddi Moise with a 675 pound total, and Abby Smith with a 685 pound total which also earned her the top lifter award on the light platform.

In the teams category the Dawgs placed six overall and the Lady Dawgs claimed third.

Head powerlifting coach Tyle McIntosh was once again pleased with his teams’ accomplishments.

“Coach Couch and I are extremely proud of how our athletes competed in Lampasas, and we are looking forward to seeing them improve over the next few weeks,” said McIntosh.
