Burnet County Republican Women and the Burnet County Republican Club hosted a brunch for elected officials, friends and family at the Swearing-In Ceremony of Burnet County elected officials on January 1, 2023 at the Burnet County Courthouse. Local Republicans started off the new year with a flurry of activity, including hosting families for an official swearing in ceremony of elected officials, announcing their own slate of club officers and hosting statewide leadership.
The newly-installed officers for Burnet County Republican Women for the 2023-24 are: Brenda Miles, Carolyn Richmond, Dotte Stueckroth, Darlene Hargett, Carolyn Alexander and Mary Jane Avery.
The officers announced the first meeting of the year is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 12, 2023 and have invited speakers to inform the public about important issues facing local communities.
BCRW invited Burnet County Sheriff Calvin Boyd and Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd to lead an open discussion titled “Crisis at the Border” at the upcoming meeting.
The meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Reed Building, 402 E. Jackson Street in Burnet. Lunch is $15 and guests are welcome.
