On March 2, 2023, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., the Hill Country 100 Club hosted their annual banquet at the Burnet YMCA, located at 1601 South Water Street in Burnet.

Each agency was represented and recognized, and this year organizers scheduled a livestream of the event, so those who were unable to attend the banquet would be able to watch the event even if on duty or just unable to attend in person.

Club members and public attendees offered $25 per person donation for the nonprofit programs.

The honorary awards presenter was 424th Judicial District Judge Evan Stubbs.

Since 1953, the 100 Club goal is to be there at the point of need within 24-48 hours of an incident to support the families of law enforcement personnel, firefighters, and EMS, including dispatchers who become the first contact when disaster strikes.

The Hill Country 100 Club is comprised of concerned citizens along with local businesses who understand the daily sacrifice made by these men and women who are committed to maintaining the safety of our communities.

The event honored first responders in Burnet, Blanco, Llano, and Lampasas counties, including sheriff departments, police, EMS, fire departments and dispatchers.

In addition, the agencies submitted candidates for Employee of the Year Award and the Meritorious Award, which identifies someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, perhaps even at the risk of their own life. For more information, go to www.hc100club.com.
