City officials are evaluating both groundwater wells in Burnet at the Cheatham site for new motors, pumps and other repairs.
Burnet City Council recently decided to inspect, repair or replace as required aging motors or pumps at two major city water supply stations.
If the stations are not inspected and necessary repairs or replacements are not accomplished, the city water supply system could break down, City Manager David Vaughn said.
“That could be a problem,” Vaughn told council members during July 11 meeting.
