Lily Ann Berard, 83, died on Sunday October 29, 2023 with her husband at her side.
Lily, a native Texan from Corpus Christi was a daughter, sister, aunt, spouse, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. At times, taking on the daunting roles of Den Mother and Girl Scout cookie chairwoman! She loved her family and God and was, overall a great lady!
Lily worked as an RN until retirement at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX. When she retired, she moved to Burnet, TX. During her retirement she worked many church functions at the First Lutheran church in Burnet where she was an active member. She also volunteered at La Care. Lily enjoyed water sports, music, laughter, board games, hand and foot, dominoes and dogs.
Lily is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Effie Davis, her brothers Ralph, Robert and Jimmy, and her son Daniel Berard.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leon Berard, as well as daughters Laureen, Linda, and Theresa, and her sons David and Thomas. She was blessed with several grandchildren; Kenneth, Kyle, Kevin, Jakob, Viktoria, Dalton and Denise, and greatgrandchildren Porter, Parker and Lily.
A memorial service will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 10 am with a light lunch to follow. Burial will take place at the Davis Cemetery at 112 St Clair Rd., Gonzales, TX in DeWitt County at 3:00pm. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
