Ricky Wayne Meeks

Ricky Wayne Meeks born in San Antonio on September 9, 1956, passed away on March 22, 2023, at age 66. He moved to Burnet when he was two years old where he grew up and attended Burnet schools. After leaving school, Ricky joined the United States Army for three years. During his time in the Army, he was stationed at Ft. Hood where he worked in communications.

After his time in the Army Ricky then began a career in the communications field, first at GTE in Marble Falls and then later he worked all over the U.S. as an engineer with different telephone companies.

For over 24 years, Ricky lived with longtime companion Sherri Doris Wahlberg and her daughter Ashley. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed hunting and fishing and the outdoors. A few years ago, he had returned to live back home in Burnet.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Mary Lee Graves and longtime companion Sherri Wahlberg. Surviving family includes his brother Randy Meeks and his wife Mary Helen Meeks; niece and nephews Nikol, Trevor, and Kenneth Meeks; daughter Ashley Evans; Aunt Bebe and Uncle Spackey.
